The latest inductee into the BIG DUMMY FILES Glenn E. Morgan, Jr. The 41-year-old Detroit man was sentenced to three months in prison for mailing Carl and Susan Smith, an interracial couple he’s never met, photographs of black men being lynched and a photograph of the murdered body of Nicole Brown Simpson.

The envelope also contained threatening written messages indicating that black men who marry white women should be lynched and that white women who marry black men will share Nicole Brown Simpson’s fate. Glenn who’s black and describes himself on his Twitter profile (which is now defunct) as an activist, educator, entrepreneur, journalist, writer and founder of the National Black Men’s Education Association (NBMEA). There is something obviously wrong with Glen.

Blacks have been the victims of many years of hate crimes etc but what is the point of hating someone of your own race ? This guy spent time and money on making nooses and harassing people who were minding their own business. Last week I told you about the announcement of the MTV’s top 25 MC’s list. To my surprise J. Cole was left off the list obviously he was surprised also. J. Cole states when MTV asked him about not making the list.

“I don’t know a list is a list. I don’t know what i’m not on it. If it wasn’t me it would be someone else that was left off. Do I Think I deserve it of course yes.” When I saw it I was like word ? Shout out to MTV I love MTV ya’ll have been holding me down”.

This was a very politically correct answer from J. Cole. What people have to understand is Hip Hop is not MTV. MTV is a TV channel ran by a corporation named Viacom they also own BET. J. Cole isn’t about to go to war with Viacom over a stupid list. Hip Hop isn’t about list awards money or anything else like that. People need to get back to the true essence of Hip Hop, which was uplifting people from the streets, and stop worrying about list. Shout out to J. Everybody wants to have “swag” now a days. Even though “swag” is another way for a man to call another man sexy. I say just go ahead and call him sexy if that is really the way you feel. Anyways a weatherman in Michigan has found a way to incorporate “swag” into his weather forecast.

It seems to be the new internet sensation with a lot hits on YouTube. This is funny to me, if swag is so entertaining why don’t they just find some rapper to do the forecast instead of some guy imitating what he saw on a Souljah Boy video.

I’m sure this will get old after awhile and his news directors will tell him to chill out on the swaggin during the weather. Then again people say i’m a hater he reminds me of B-Rad from Malibu’s Most Wanted the movie. What do you think of this corny guys swag ?

Kobe FANS: Yell out to Kobe “SHE WASN’T WITH YOU SHOOTING IN THE GYM”. Kobe was out eating at a popular restaurant after the Lakers game when signing autographs. Fans made their way up to him and yelled the popular line about Kobe’s estranged wife Vanessa Bryant from the Rick Ross song - Stay Scheming.

In the song Drake raps, “Kobe about to lose one hundred and fifty M’s [Million}, Kobe My N—- hate it to have to be him, B—- you wasn’t with me shootin in the gym.”

The interesting thing about this is divorce laws work both ways. Who ever is the bread winner has to pay out when the couple splits. Its very rare you hear about public FIGURES who are women having to pay ridiculous amount of money to their ex. Why ? because women make smarter dating choices, than men. Women aren’t quick to make a husband out of any MAN who they find attractive.

Men need to look deep especially if they are public figures. All the hard work it took to get to the NBA, NFL, Congress etc, and you just give it away to a woman you want to HAVE SEX with ? Make your woman grind just like you did before she lives the high life instead of popping bottles with her make her Buy her own. If Kobe had done this he wouldn’t be sitting in a restaurant listening to some random fans yelling “SHE WASN’T WITH YOU SHOOTING IN THE GYM !”

The debate and the anger over young people and some OLD saggin their pants, has been going on since I can remember. My first memory of people with saggin pants was when I was ten years old. I played basketball and my father was the coach and he would make people run “suicides”(an intense excersice) if they were caught with their pants saggin. Since my Dad had always been anti saggin, I was never really allowed to walk around with my pants saggin. Pants saggin butt crack showing has never been my style. Even though there have been times i might’ve been caught saggin because I didn’t have a belt or some other reason it has never been intentional. I’m going to give you a breif history of pants saggin because it came into style with my generation. This is not a pro saggin article or an anti saggin article attempt to make sense of a fad.

The pants saggin style really stepped on the scene in the early 90’s, there are a lot of conflicting stories about when and where the style started and why. Some go as far as saying the style has to do with homosexuality in the prison. This is probably a rumor started by anti pant saggers, pants saggin has nothing to do with homosexualtiy and most homosexuals don’t even like the style. This is the story that makes most sense to me. People in jail are given the wrong size clothing so their clothes are baggy. They would get used to wearing baggy clothes and came back onto the streets and other people would see them and copy exactly what they were doing. Saggin is a style that derives from people who want to emulate a prison lifestyle. I think the real promoters of the saggin pants style that made it culturally acceptable worldwide was the rap group KRISS KROSS, on their Totally Crossed Out album cover. It features a picture of the two 13 year olds wearing their pants saggin backwards. I was around ten around the time this album dropped and every young person around this time wanted to be like Kriss Kross. By 1995 pants saggin meant you were young black and cool. Everybody had their pants saggin who was in Hip Hop. Tupac made saggin pants legendary with his infamous “George Jefferson” walk out of the court room with his pants saggin and spitting on the TV camera.

Lets fast forward into 2012 a whole new generation of people are wearing their tight pants saggin and it still makes older people FURIOUS. If you want to piss off an older man or woman walk around with your pants saggin with your boxer shorts showing. My question is Why Do People Wear Their Pants Saggin ? I can come up with 20 reasons why not to wear your pants saggin but I would like pants saggers nationwide to defend their reasoning for wearing their pants below their ass ? I’m not a pants sagger but here are a few reasons I can come up with why you would wear your pants saggin. :

Steve Urkel: I know you might laugh at this but Family Matters was on around the same time that pants saggin became a style. No one wanted to be anything like Urkel and he wore his pants up to his elbows. When something isn’t acceptable or mocked on TV people tend to do the exact oposite.
They might be too poor to afford a belt: Most styles come from poor people. If your spending all your money on the latest designer jeans, trying to live a lifestyle that is above your means. Who needs a belt ? Even though designer belts are in style now when pants saggin first started it wasn’t/
Most People Are Followers: In today’s society everybody has an identity crisis. It seems like everbody is trying to identify themselves with something or someone. When a kid who is already feeling awkward about his body changing in puberty sees Lil Wayne with his pants saggin he automatically follows. Sad but true. I think if some one found a way to make money off of pants saggin people would pay it less attention.

Even though there have been many attempts by the elders to stop the fad of pants saggin. Like telling young people how stupid they look, passing laws, proving the fact that slaves weren’t allowed to wear belts, and the myth of homosexualtiy associated with saggin pants. Even going as far to say that saggin backwards spells the N word. I don’t think any of this effective young people are always going to think saggin = swaggin. The only way to stop people from saggin their pants is to stop the popular entertainers from saggin their pants. Every one from Lil Wayne to Justin Bieber walks around with their pants saggin.

There is good news for the anti saggers. Most young men stop saggin their pants by the time they reach 25. Most jobs are not going to permit you walking around with your pants saggin. There is also a thing called growing up, the negative connection to criminal elements that comes with saggin pants doesn’t allow people to get a succesful job and grow as a person. When maturity sets in men will stop saggin, its that simple. Most people that are still saggin after 25 have not grown up yet. I went to speak to Sweet Home high school yesterday and the teacher thanked me for not saggin. My response was I’m grown Why Would I walk around with my pants saggin ? With the political race about to heat up as we VOTE in 2012. Bill Maher compares the greed of rich conservatives/venture capitalist to those of rich rappers. In the video he shows pictures of Mitt Romney compare to pictures of Kanye West, 50 Cent, and Tupac flashing money. He says the good old rich conservatives are constantly showing the American public that “We Have Money and You Don’t “. While this may be true on the surface the BIG DIFFERENCE is Mitt Romney comes from MONEY. Most RICH RAPPERS don’t.

Let me give you the history on Williard Mitt Romney, his father is a automobile executive from Detroit who turned automobile company American Motors around = MONEY. His fathers best friend who WILLIARD Mitt Romney is name after is hotel magnate J. Willard Marriott. = MONEY. Also he gets his middle name from his father’s cousin Milton “Mitt” Romney, 1925–1929 quarterback for the Chicago Bears = MONEY.

To compare him to a guy who was born on the south side of Queens, NY to a mom who was a drug dealer (50 Cent) or someone who was born to a mother in Brooklyn, NY who was an ex black panther who was fighting a drug addiction (Tupac Shakur) is crazy. Mitt Romney has nothing in common with a rich rapper because he has never been broke. Like the saying from a very wise man named Dj Supreme goes “you can never appreciate money until your broke”.

Jay-Z and every other rich rapper was not born with a silver spoon in their mouths that is why they are so proud and have to show the accomplishments they have made in life. That’s why you could never compare venture capitalist to any one in hip hop because they had a head start in the capitalist race.

Pistol Toting Grandma…. Threatens to shoot a man that was running from the police ! Karen Granville said she heard the Sheriff’s helicopter and sirens while laying in bed at about three in the morning Tuesday.

Granville, 64, said she grabbed her pistol and ran outside, and came face to face with a carjacking suspect. She told deputies she said, “Stop right there [expletive], or you’re going to be dead where you stand.”

This is funny she said the suspect, Roderick Willis, pleaded with her not to shoot. I don’t know if I really believe the story went down like this woman explained it. When watching the whole story she seems a little delusional. A shrine of John Wayne memorials and so on and so forth and this just happens to be the backyard this guy runs into ? Come on son …..

Also it was funny to me how the news tries to villainize the suspect to make a good story. They never say what he was being chased for then they never mention how much marijuana or cocaine was in the car, but make it perfectly clear that he had 2,000 dollars on him. Implying that he is a drug dealer, also they make a big deal out of him having a suspended license. They made this petty criminal look like Tony Montana in this clip; and this Grandma to be a pistol toting modern day John Wayne (Who was incredible racist by the way).

While he was probably doing the wrong thing running from the police; does not constitute this lady to take the law in her own hands. Putting her life in danger over something that had nothing to do with her. This is not a John Wayne movie or the Wild Wild West Ms Granville.

Nas who has visited Africa three times already one time for his birthday and twice for corporate performances has said that “the reason why most of his colleagues never go to Africa is because they are afraid of the dark continent”. This is coming from a press conference that was done in the United States.

Nas has through out his career has always been conscious of his history. He also raises the concern that “I went there and I figured out that there’s been a lot of lies told to American people about what’s going on there…One thing about us African-Americans and Africans is that we don’t communicate, we don’t talk, we don’t see a reason to talk, we don’t get along.” I wasn’t aware of this problem because Hip Hop artist talk crazy on most records but they are scared to go to a continent because they might get bit by mosquitos ?

If this is true people really need to keep it real with themselves when they are rapping. I think that there should be a bridging of the gap between Africans and African Americans. He also raised questions about why rock stars like Bono seem to do so much in Africa and hip hop artists aren’t. Jay-Z and 50 Cent have recently made headlines by lending financial support to countries in Africa. What do you think should African American’s really be concerned about a continent that we most know nothing about or focus on our current situation in America ?

1) BLACK REALITY TV SHOWS

Whenever you turn on Reality TV whether its Housewives of Atlanta/ Flavor Of Love/ Love And Hip Hop / Strange Love you will see the display of the lowest common form of Black America. Fighting promiscuity or just plain old acting a fool. These shows are filled with negative stereotypes but there’s no shortage of people signing up to be on these shows. MLK would definitely shake his head at these shows.

2) RAP MUSIC

Before I say why MLK would be ashamed let me state this I LOVE HIP HOP but I hate what Rap music has become. Just like the reality TV shows I discussed earlier they have taken the lowest common form of Black America and packaged it on a CD and put it on the shelf. Not every Black man in America sells or uses drugs. Not all black women are bitches and hos, who love to drop it low for the camera. This seems to be the only type of music that makes it to the main stream. IE (Lil Wayne) No one else can be faulted for this except for the consumers and producers of Hip Hop music. Martin Luther King Jr would definitely be ashamed of this.

3) MARTIN LUTHER KING JR BLVD/DR/RD

Most of the places you go in the country where there is a Martin Luther King Jr expressway/rd/dr/blvd, most of the living conditions are terrible. Most are filled with drugs and crime. You would think residents of theses areas would do better to re-enforce the dream that this man stood for, Nope if your on any road named after Martin Luther King Jr you should most likely lock your doors.

4) PEDOPHILES IN THE CHURCH

This should go without saying, most people in any religion do not support pedophilia now the disturbing trend has made its way into the black church. IE Bishop Eddie Long, im sure Martin Luther King Jr would be disgusted by this.

5) BLACK MEN IN PRISON

For a man whose goal was for us to be FREE why are 80% of the prison population made up of Black men ? That is so back wards our ancestors went to war for black men to be free and still to this day many of us aren’t. I’m sure Martin as well as the rest of our ancestors would really question whether what they went through was worth it, because their great grand children still won’t be free because they decided to rob/murder/sell drugs to someone who looks just like them.

Salute to Martin Luther King Jr but the dream has definitely not been fulfilled I think it is time for a lot of US to WAKE UP ! from the present day NIGHTMARE. If Martin Luther King Jr was alive today I really think this is what he would say ! *Explicit*
