R&B singer Mary J. Blige has become the face of Burger King’s latest ad for FRIED chicken snack wraps.
In the 30 second spot she sings, “Crispy chicken, fresh lettuce, three cheeses, ranch dressing wrapped up in a tasty, flour tortilla.” For some, it may seem a bit stereotypical that such a talented singer is now singing ABOUT CHICKEN, Before you rush to judge MJB she isn’t the only celebrity doing the BK commercials Salma Hayek, David Beckham, and Jay Leno,to name a few, are also featured in BK commercials. Burger King is said to be struggling and is pulling out all the stops it can to try to pick things up again. But why must she soulfully croon (note that said word is one letter away from “coon”) for some glorified fried chicken? Word on the streets is she got 2 million to do the commercial. People are upset what do you think about this commercial is it offensive ?
